Lettin the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier than puttin it back in.

Most of the stuff people worry about ain't gonna happen anyway.

That's the most horrifying thing I've read in a long time. For crying out loud, they couldn't pick up a stick or run a little faster? Do cops over there have tazers? I mean they are tazer crazy here in the states, at least the dog would still have been alive had they done that. I don't know, if they were so afraid they could have shot it in a place where the dog at least could have lived!

That's just wrong on so many different levels.

I always stay away from these threads too, but I'd hoped this one at least had a happy ending. Like the dog had lived.

You know, part of my dog's appeal is the fact she can protect me. But the downside is, if someone wanted to rob me or get at me, they could poison her or shoot her or something can't win :-(

Excuse me but did these two plainclothes officers have a legal right to step onto the property to start with?

Did they clearly identify themselves as police officers before they shot the dog?

I understand cops protecting themselves but I'm sorry, I'd sue based on the answers to those two questions because far too many dogs are shot without justification or apology in both Canada and the US.

I'd suggest at least discussing it with a lawyer.
