Question Frozen eggs?

Wondering something... my doggie loves hard boiled eggs. Not sure if they're the best thing for him as we're still diagnosing a food allergy, but I was thinking... if I boil some eggs, can I freeze them so that it'll take him longer to eat them? If I can freeze them, then I can put a string through them and dangle them from the top of his kennel so he *really* has to work at getting them down!

I've never tried freezing an egg, and I don't think it would ruin it, but anyone have any experience with whether or not dogs will take a frozen egg?
Thanks!
Melissa
