Scored some serious loot last night! :D

I just had to share my happiness at all the goodies I found last night at the grocery store...

So I was heading into Safeway to pick up some munchies for a get-together I was off to, and of course had to check out the meat dep't to see if they had any specials (figuring I wouldn't find anything)... well! I picked up chicken thighs, legs, quarters and a whole chicken (for my big girl) all marked down at 50% off!! I think I ending up paying around $15 for 20 lbs of meat! Score!

Then deciding I was on a lucky streak, I stopped at SuperStore on the way home and picked up chicken livers, backs & necks, and pork hocks for cheap also! Think I spent around $8 there.

My friend I was with last night thought I was nuts for getting so excited over discounted meat! (Haha only another raw feeder can appreciate my feelings, LOL!)

haha- good finds!
I've been having trouble lately finding chicken and turkey necks. I'll check out Superstore, I think it's the only grocery store left that I haven't tried yet.

It's my fave place to pick up chicken backs/necks, livers, gizzards, hearts etc. they always have them in stock, are priced fairly reasonable, and look "fresh" (if that makes sense... haha). We have a few other grocery stores around here that carry these items but they always look as if they have been sitting there for awhile... eep!

Unfortunately, I am limited for freezer space so I end up buying quite often and usually don't have the space to pick up ALOT in bulk to save $$ but I was quite happy with my finds last night!!
