First I would like to say welcome,

Secondly a puggle is not a breed, but mix between a beagle and a pug, that someone has irresponsibly bred to sell for high profit by giving it a fancy name, but years ago thy were called a mutt that would occur by accident matings and therefore the owners would sell for few dollars just the reimburse themself the cost of feeding and deworming the pups.

If you really want a mixed bred dog I would highly recommend going through rescues and shelters to find, rather than supporting these irresponsible breeders who are churning out pups strictly for $$$ with considering welfare of the puppies being bred or the fact that there already more dogs needing homes than available.

Responsible breeders breed to improve a breed, they breed there dogs so that meet the breeds standard, and choose only breeding pairs that have proven themselves in the showring, they also must pass genetic health testing priorto mating to ensure they are not passing along genetics defects, every pup born is registered
and health checked and sold with genetic health guarantee and certificate, the breeder screens prospective owners and require them to sign contracts that requires the pup to be returned only to them so they are not ending up in rescues and pounds, they care about the pups from before they are concieved until they pass away and will be there to support owners at any time through the pups lifetime.

A person who breeds mixed bred can not and will not do all these thing, there is no guarantee what of what traits or temperment or health problem the pups will incur, since they simply do not know since it is a cross between to very different breeds, plus since the breeder is breeding for profit only they do not do genetic testing on their mating pairs as it would severely take away from profits. Many of these mixed breds will be sold from more money than you would pay if went thru a responsible breeder for example for a pure bred registered beagle or pug that will have a genetic guarantee.

THe pug dog club has some info on Puggles that is well worth reading

"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion." - Unknown
