Exclamation Can anyone foster a pregnant cat if I manage to trap her??

Just got an email from a friend. A pregnant cat has settled under his gf's deck for a few days now. She arrived with 'supplies' like toys, etc. so they think she was dumped. She is very friendly and was trying to get into her home. This just breaks my heart... whoever dumped her is a major !@#$%

I will try to get my hands on a trap today and if i do manage to trap her, is there anyone here who can take her on or put me in touch with someone who can? (she is pregnant according to him)

I will keep you updated on the progress... waiting to hear from him on where exactly his gf lives and when we can come by to set up a trap...

also... i know you guys mentioned that i can get a trap from a cat rescue... is there a specific one i am best to contact to get a trap asap? do they sell these at petsmart??

Masha - if she was just dumped and is trying to get into his gf's home you shouldn't need a trap to catch her. Can the girlfriend open her door and let her in and then transfer her into a carrier? I'm sure someone in the area can offer a carrier if you don't have one.
If you do need a trap you can either get in touch with THS or get one at Home Depot or TSC stores. I'm sure Lowes probably has them too. It's possible if you get in touch with Toronto Cat Rescue them may be able to lend you a trap as well. http://www.torontocatrescue.ca/store/index.asp
I can't foster her. Wish I could but I am more than filled to the brim. Maybe TCR has someone available but I doubt it. You could try. If not hopefully someone who lives in your area will offer.
Thank you for wanting to help out this gal. Some people just need to get a life!

Unfortunately it is their busiest time. Their foster parents are getting burned out and no new ones to take their place. It's pretty sad. They are all overfull. If you have a friend who is willing to do an owner/foster they would be more than ready to talk to you.
People just don't/won't get the message!!!

I emailed them already... I emailed/left VM with a bunch of places yesterday mid day. So far TCR called back saying they really cant help. Forgotten Ones Cat Rescue emailed saying they are full, but then 10 minutes after they emailed asking questions about the cat so I am hoping maybe they are thinking of something....

Thank goodness! I just saw this post and would have fostered her, but I wouldn't be able to keep her or the kittens.
