Oh sorry, Rainbow!!!!

You're right, even with my work connections, I can only find an address, phone # and fax #.

Thanks for finding that, StergeR I sent an email to the customer relations guy but it got returned "mailbox no longer exists" so I sent one to the technical and operations guy and am still waiting for a reply.

I liked what they said about their plant though:

This is now posted on the TO website.

March 28, 2007 - Regarding the Recent Menu Foods Recall

We at Timberwolf Organics understand that this is a very stressful time for consumers, as there is lots of information concerning the recall going around. We would like to start by saying that we are NOT affected by the Menu Foods recall. Menu Foods produces only "wet" canned food, and not dry kibble. For our only canned formula, we do not use any ingredients that are related with the products invovled in the recalled, including Wheat Gluten.

Our products are produced in a high end facility which has a long history in the manufacturing of high quality feeds for companion animals. It has earned itself a reputation for producing some other well known natural pet foods in the industry, however this information is proprietary in nature and we are therefore unable to release this information.

Before any product enters our facility, before any truck is unloaded, inspection is made and random samples are taken. These samples are then taken to the facilities laboratory for screening, testing and analysis. The range of tests will also include proximate, aflatoxins, vomitoxins, peroxide values, microbial, temperature amongst others.

Our facility also has regular inspections by the USDA and APHIS. The plant is a member of the Pet Food Institute and as such is continuously updated on all regulation changes and is notified immediately of any outbreaks which would affect production so that any precautions or stoppages could be made.

All poultry based meals and frozen poultry are supplied and received only only from facilities process poultry and no other meats. These facilities are USDA/APHIS approved facilities. The poultry included in our formulas are all hormone and steroid free and contain human grade chicken fed on real feed with no waste included.

Fish oils are received only from suppliers that are USDA/APHIS/NMFS approved. Our fish oils are naturally preserved by the supplier.

Our facility have built a close relationship with all their suppliers conducting long term research and development to be at the top of their profession and the industry. Between them they have years of experience with which they are able to bring to the table the finest in companion animal food production.

Direct any questions or concerns to Liz Highfield in our Public Relations department at liz@timberwolforganics.com or Chris Porch in customer service at chris@timberwolforganics.com.

I hate how they cling onto little tidbits that end up being negated at the next press conference.

Well the distributor for TO out here would not name the plant for me, although he did say it was in NY State and how great it was. I e-mailed him back and asked him if it was Chenango and was that not the plant that had been sued in 2001 by Natural Balance for mold-related loss issues? He confirmed that indeed Chenango was their production plant, but was not aware of the Natural Balance issue and said he would have to look into that. I also e-mailed TO directly and got a msg back about how safe their plant is and all their safety checks and such, but for proprietary reasons they could not name the plant. Kinda strange in today's environment isn't it?

I kinda feel if you have nothing to hide, why hide it???

Ooops just read TeriM's post and that's the same reply I got from TO.

I still haven't received a reply from Chenango. I will re-send my email after the long weekend. I sent an email to TO today telling them that their secret is out.

I found out today (from somebody that works for them) that 2 of TO's canned foods are made by Menu Foods. I think Menu makes almost everyone's canned food.

WHAT!? I always thought that they only had 1 type (Pheasant & Herbs). I just looked again for affirmation & still, I only see that one.

If you're looking at the website, click on the sampler underneath the pheasant. I've also seen some different formula's at a Global.

We now have available a sample pack of our all our formulas for customers requesting to try our pet foods as a prerequisite before making a purchase. Our sample pack consists of eight 6oz samples of our available formulas including our Serengeti Feline formula. Our sample pack is FREE however a shipping and handling charge of $12.00 is added as this purchase does not qualify for the $15.00 and above free shipping and handling.

We also recently added a canned formula to our offerings. This unique addition will soon be joined by 3 more canned formulas for your pets nutritional benefit and enjoyment.

Oops, looks like you're right.

But the person I spoke with today said 'two of our formulas'. I assumed it was canned. I certainly hope it's not dry.

They've probably added one of the three new formulas but haven't updated their website yet.
