Puppy teething
I just bought a 7 week old purebred straight back German shepherd, although extremely smart in alot of areas, not so much
On biting! I have scolded him, given him a kong, rawhides, sweet potato chips and carrots to help him stop but he keeps trying To bite hands feet, faces. When reprimanded, He defies me and jumps up to bite. I've given Him a time out which worked for awhile. But he's back at it. I know this is a phase and will stop hopefully, But what do I do in the meantime?

That's a puppy for you! Keep offering toys in place of your hands. Eventually it stops. LOL

Yep, patience will be your best ally here. Meanwhile, if you buy a pair of bicycle gloves (palm and back of hand are covered but there's nothing on the fingers) it will help prevent hamburger hands till he's broken of the habit.
Offer toys, chews; withdraw your attention when he bites...eventually he'll catch on that you're not their for chewin' on. At 7 wks, though, this is pretty normal.

yup, great advice....when he goes for you give him a stuffy or other toy. You can soak then freeze some cloth as well for his teething owy gums. patti
