pet pager for deaf dog

I am thinking about adopting a deaf dog and am looking into the prices of pager collars. Does anyone have one for sale used? They cost over 100$ new.

Thanks
Julie

Do it Yourself

I once saw instructions on how to make something like this yourself. A co-worker has a deaf dog and needed something similar.

The basic idea was to disassemble a remote controle car and use the engine parts and remote to let the dog know it needs to look at you. Here's the link, if you're at all handy, it might be worth the effort (I'd build two at once so I'd have a back-up)

Casper

Yes he is one of Sophie's dogs. He was a pit dumped at a shelter in Ontario last august when the law passed. Since he was a ``good`` dog, he was being sold to a research laboratory. Thank goodness he, and 4 other pits where rescued for that horrible fate. He is a very intelligent, funny and loving dog.

I have looked at the instructions ot make one myself, its just finding the right car. I am still hoping to find one made for cheaper than 84$ US.
