Question Chicken for a Puppy

We have a 9 1/2 week old Papillon puppy and she doesn't do well with hard treats, I don't want to feed her some of those play-doh looking treats as there is no nutritional value what so ever. Could I boil chicken and give her small pieces, so I have a training tool other than verbal and touch praise?

i think chicken is fine for little pupster, the other treats are too hard for her baby teeth. She will respond better to something like chicken also.

Boiled pieces of chicken is a great treat.

You can also use liver or make salmon treats. There are several recipe ideas for treats in the sub-forum here....

I will check out the rest of the forum, thank you.

It's just so hard to chew big and tough treats when your growing and only 1.8 pounds right now!!!

There's quite a few recipes for soft treats and you can make them any size you want.
