Making snacks from mountain ash berries

Hello all...

I have two JRTs who seem to like to eat mountain ash berries that fall into the yard. They don't have any observable ill effects, but I would like to know if this is harmful to the kids...

Also, does anyone know of anything to repel squirrels from your yard?

Thanks!

Caite

I Googled mountain ash berries and there was info on small animals and birds eating them, as part of their diet. Also about making wine and jam from them so I guess they are edible. As for squirrels I use to use moth balls in my planters and flower beds to keep them out, hope that helps.
