Red face Peach had a Bath

We presently have a bunny living with us in foster care. He's been here quite some time now and no inquiries. Somehow I think that bunnies are not the most popular rescue creatures. Anyways, today my youngest daughter (2.5yrs) decided that she was going to clean bunny's cage with him in it. I heard water running and went hunting for it's source. Well, Peach was soaked, his cage was soaked and my daughter was chirping Bunny bath, Mommy. I dried everything and Peach was grooming himself dry. I put him back in his clean, dry cage and so far he seems fine. I was just wondering if there was something else I should have done for him or if this will hurt him in anyway? He appears none the worse for wear.

EEK! I don't know if that's bad... Lucky you are an attentive mom and you caught the bunny in time.

Unless he got water in his ears, he should be fine. I had a much beloved bunny for many yrs - and you guys are prob getting tired of hearing about him (but I still miss him, sniff!) and rabbits are wonderful pets and much in demand. Are you advertising? Or your group giving buinnies as much coverage as cats and dogs - Unless it is Rabbit Rescue, some of them do not, alas.

Well Peach appears none the worse for wear this morning. He's looking much fluffier and eating well. Not shaking his head so I don't think water got in?

As for advertising, he's on petfinder. I would point out that this is Quebec and bunnies are a definite table snack to many individuals so putting flyers up may not be a good idea for Peach. I use the theory that if someone were a responsible pet owner they would search petfinder for a bunny? I was thinking when the school year starts that perhaps a teacher would like him in their classroom as a pet and that I would keep him here for summers. He's very affectionate and likes children so we'll see.

I learned that rabbits through fear can tense their back and neck so much that they can actually snap their neck/spine.

Keep bunny WARM and comfy...stick some extra treats in there and keep the kids away for a bit. Let bunny calm down.

Sorry no wet bunny pics.

I put the baby gate up so my daughter can't disturb him again. He's fine this morning and nibbling on some treats I gave him. Seems dry and content now, poor fellow.

shhhhh, don't tell Peach but he was bred as a meat rabbit. Some lady took him as a wee one and then her boyfriend told her no way, so when they moved I took him. Never bring a rodent over because they are so small I can't say no.

Cute bunny. We've got wild ones that live in the back yard. They tease the heck outta the dogs, they know just how far the lunge lines go. Started nearly 17 years ago, new year, new generation. I put stuff out for them though.

Umm, I'm French, and wouldn't eat rabbits, not every frenchman does
Don't eat anything with more legs, or bigger eyes than me, lol
