take my dog to visit? Friends dog just died

Hi,
I have a friends whose dog just passed away =0( I'm going to go over there tonight and visit/comfort, and I'm thinking about taking my dog. However, they aren't sure why her dog died. She died in her sleep with no symptoms... Do you think it's safe?

Not much info here. Why risk exposing your dog? Rarely does a dog "just" die in their sleep with no symptoms.

If you want to comfort, go alone with 100 percent attention towards your friends. Do not confuse your dog with all the sadness in the room. Your friends will need your undivided attention at a time like this.
Always be aware of what you may bring home to your own pet too.

On a more human level it may make the situation more upsetting for them to have your dog there.....it may make their pain that much more real when they see your dog and remember what they no longer have with them.
