feline arthritis
I have a beautiful long hair and he has recently been limping due to his front paw. I have checked it and there is nothing in it and believe due to his age he has arthritis, does anyone have any rememdies for this, can a cat take aspirin for the discomfort. He weighs believe it or not 23lbs. and has always been a big boy, I would appreciate some feedback.

Hi
Please check for info on the site BEFORE posting There is plenty of info if you just take a look. Here are 3 major sources of info http://www.pets.ca/index-tips.htm http://www.pets.ca/index-QA.html and the grandaddy of all answered questions pages where the link below comes from http://www.pets.ca/index-QAarchive.htm BTW - No aspirin for cats. That's in a pet tip on the site as well. Here is a specific thread on arthritis http://www.pets.ca/forum/showthread.php?threadid=2440 Thanks and good luck Marko |

I have heard that there are natural vets out there that have remarkable results with arthritis. Homeopathy, acupunture, massage all for dogs.

How old is this cat? Since you diagnosed it yourself, I think a vet visit is a good idea in case the limping is caused by something else entirely.
