wildlife rehab placement. - Pet forum for dogs cats and humans

well, i start my placement on Saturday. I will be heading up there on Friday. Kitty will be staying at my moms house. I was debating on taking her for the last month, but came to the descision that it is best for her to stay at moms. I will be living in a house with four other interns, and two of them have brought their pets as well. One a jack mix (and you know how hyper jacks are) and an other cat. My cat hates every other animal, plus my room is supposivly fairly small. I didn't want to keep her confined in a small room for 3 and a half months. I figure with all of the new surroundings, animals and new people, should be be too stressed. Plus I didn't want to bring anything home to her from the Wildlife Rehab center, since she is a little behind on her vaccines and is not on flea prevention. She is strickly an indoor cat and when she goes to the vets she has to be sedated. I do get every other weekend off, so I will be doing the 4 hour drive home when i am off to see my baby lol. I just hope she is not too stressed without me.

hey..just want to say that I decided to leave the center. It is a GREAT place, but I have ulcerative colitis and it was affecting my health, while I was there. It sucks

I decided that it was not fair for my boss or the interns that i was living with, for me to miss a days.

It really is a great place and the boss is an amazing person. So much love towards the animals. I did also get a few pictures as well.
