Looking for Vet In Eastern Townships ASAP

I just arrived for a week's holiday in North Hatley with my two dogs. I need to find a vet in this area of the Eastern Townships ASAP as one of my dogs is not well. Can anyone recommend a good vet in North Hatley, Magog or general vicinity? Thanks.

Just in case you haven't found a vet yet.

Clinique Vétérinaire des Cantons, 1179 Sherbrooke, Magog...819-843-7350

Clinique Vétérinaire Magog, 404 Saint-Patrice Ouest, Magog...819-868-2970

For emergency 24 hours (best to call ahead at both places): CHUV, 1525, rue des Vétérinaires
Saint-Hyacinthe...450-778-8111

And: HVRS, 7415 boulevard Taschereau, Brossard...450-656-3660

Both 24 hour hospitals are about 1hr, 20mins from Magog.

Hoping you get the help you need asap .

Luckypenny, thanks for the info. I tried the first # but there is no vet in today. I was given another # in Orford but cannot get through as line is busy...will keep trying. I may have to take a trip to Ste-Hyacinthe if I can't get a hold of a vet closer to where we are. I think my 14 year old dog Tasha may have suffered a stoke as she is displaying most of the symptoms. She was fine when we left, actually she was doing great, so we are quite concerned. Thanks again for your help.

I hope Tasha is okay, Cookiesmom! Maybe it's something like vestibular syndrome and will pass in a few days

Please keep us posted!

Thanks everyone for your concern and prayers. I took Tasha in to see the vet in Sherbrooke and she feels that it is not a stroke but looks more like idiopathic vestibular syndrome. Not uncommon in older dogs/cats. She said it should pass in a week or two but if her condition worsens to bring her back asap. She is not ruling out a stroke or possibly even a tumour, so we are still keeping our fingers crossed that it is nothing too serious. She drank water on her own this afternoon and even ate some dinner, so hope this is a good sign. I really appreciate all your help and advice on this forum. I'll keep you updated.

Just an Update

Hello everyone!

Just wanted to touch base with you and let you know how Tasha is doing these days. She is 16 years old and all things considered, doing ok. It looks like she did suffer a mild stroke last summer, as she has some weakness in her back legs and a slight tilt in her head. Other than that, she eats well and everything is good. We have to keep her away from stairs as she has difficulty going down them. Thank you for all your help and support when she took ill. We are thankful that she is still with us and cherish everyday with her.
