Question Cat just neutered

I just got my cat neuterd and I am shocked to find out that they used no suchering on the cut to the testies ... is this normal???

Jak is a domestic medium hair cat and I have noticed that hi hair is very matted around the bum area - is there anything I can do to clean it up??? The Vet put a cone around his head and Jak is unable to clean himself.

What they may have used is a special glue. When my 7 month old kitten got neutered at 8 weeks,I took him to get checked after 10 days..The vet said oh,they didn't stitch him, they used glue.I asked if that was common. He said yes, some vets do this. His fur on his backside did get a bit yucky. But when it was ok to give him a bath,I did. After the second bath,it fell off.

Call your vet back and see if they used the glue.

As for the cone,I guess it's so he doesn't lick that area.

I cannot see the need for a cone,it bothers your cat more than his surgery.
When my Peppi was done, all I was told was to watch so he does not lick too much. The next day he was fine...don't worry about it
My cat being white it looked a little messy but it looks worse than it is and no stiches.

from what I recall... neither my dog nor 2 cats had any stitches/suchered after neutering...

u just gotta look out for swelling and if the cat's giving attention to the area. but all should be FINE

honey's case (the female) was a different case.
