Dry Skin
We just got our Boston Terrier 'Storm' acouple weeks ago, she came to use eating Pro Plan Selects Natural Turkey & Barley dry kibble, and Canidae can. I have switched her to Canidae dry kibble as well as that is what Libby is eating. Storm now has flakey dry skin...should I switch her back? What are your thoughts?

I think Canidae is a great choice , you could add some sardines and raw eggs to her diet once in a while , it may help with the dry skin. Or some fish oil vitamines ?

Fish oils are great for skin and fur! Our dogs get noticeably softer when we start giving them omega-3s and omega-6s in the fall--eliminates the dry skin dandruff all winter...

Yep, I agree. We use salmon oil usually. Make sure the brand has a little vitamin e in it or else add a supplement a couple times a week.
Coconut oil is also very good but more expensive. You can get it at the health food store. Make sure it says "organic extra virgin" on the label. |
