Online pet pharmaceutical sales?

Does anyone use online veterinarian pharmaceutical sales? Is there good savings? What sites do you use?

don't buy meds via the internet. get it from your vet - a reliable and safe source.

The problem with buying meds online is that there is little to no assurance that you are getting what you think you are getting. If you think your vet is overcharging you, you can ask for a prescription for the meds and get it filled elsewhere, but over the internet is not a good idea. jmo

Somebody in rescue told me about an Aussie site for the heartworm... I got two packs for the price of one and they came here intact and brand new, with an expiry date far, far away.

I've used an Aussie site for about 3 years now for heartworm preventatives. It's definitely cheaper. The one I use is http://www.vetproductsdirect.com/
I've never had any problems with the product. The only thing .. if ordering Heartgard or similar, they require a prescription if you are in the U.S. For Canadian orders, no prescription is required.

The problem with many of the meds is that they lose their effectiveness if stored in extreme temps. A lot of the meds are from black market too (stolen).

I use 1-800-pet-meds... online it's http://www.1800petmeds.com/

They contact your vet to get a written ok for any meds that are prescription. I think the price is around the same as I'd pay at the vet, but I order stuff for my cats, and for my dog at the same time, so this saves me a trip to the vets office basically. It's free shipping if over a certain amount, and they send a bag of catnip w/ each cat order, and a big dog biscuit w/ each dog order. They also ship fast, my orders are at my house in about 2-3 days.
