Question gurgels

My dog who is now 10, but in excellent shape has had a very noisey stomach. At night when he's lying down, you can hear gurgeling though out his system. At that time he has been off his food, nose is warm and dry. The next day he's fine. Has happened a: bout 7-8 times in the last 5 months. Food is the same etc.? Skip is 108lb. malamute/st.bernard.?

What food are you feeding? Is your dog gassy? Probiotics might help, but if the doggy is gassy, there might be an ingredient in there that's causing the gas and a food change might be necessary, especially since older dogs are more prone to bloat.

Welcome to the forum. I agree with Prin that the dog may be having some difficulties digesting his food. You could try probiotics or digestive enzeymes. Sometimes as dogs age their dietary needs can change. Feel free to look at the dog/cat food section for some great advice or post your own questions.

We'd love to see some pics of your dog .
