I can not stop looking at him I love those ears. Do you brush him or do anything special to his coat?

I feed him Nutro Natural Choice Large breed dog food (6 cups daily) and usually use Cheerios for training treats. He gets lots of petting, but, I dont' brush him. Bathed 1 time per month with my horse shampoo and that's about it. I attribute the shine to his food though...as I've changed my other dog over to it as well and her coat has gotten a nice shine back in it since then.

Thanks for the compliments... He's definatly Momma's boy

Very pretty, I am surprised that you didnt show him as a puppy. If you are planning on putting a CH on him you could have started showing some time ago. My friends Dane breeder shows all his show quality pups as pups to put titles on them at a young age and get them ready for the ring. He has a few best of breed pups right now. It is alot of fun, you should check it out.

LOL He has only become old enough to show 3 weeks ago!! He is going to show confirmation this year (hoping for Cdn Ch) After that we'll concentrate seriously on Obedience Trials...he does pretty good at it now (for his age)

Thanks everyone for the compliments, he is my pride and joy! Along with the other dog (i'll pop her pic in here too) and my horse, and of course there are a couple small humans running around here too that I feed (i think i shouldn't have though, someone told me they'll stay around if i feed 'em)

I've talked to a few breeders and you can show your pup in conformation at i believe 8 weeks of age. It is a puppy show just for conformation nothing more. I know one breeder I talked to showed the pups in the states, I am not sure about Canada, but I am sure its the same.

Cant wait to hear about your showing. I will be helping show a dane in the fall, might see you at some shows.

I could be wrong, but, I was told he can't be shown in CKC conformation shows until 6 months. Maybe there is other types of shows?? I am very new to showing so this is all a learning experience for me. I am looking forward to it all, seems like great fun to me
Thanks for the advice

He is just beautiful. I love black dobermans, but I also like red dobermans a lot too. And your mix is just adorable. I just checked with my stepdad who showed akitas for years and he says that you can't show in confermation until a dog is 6 months of age, but you can show an 8 week puppy in matches, but they don't count for anything and many breeders and showers don't do them.

But you love the "other dog" just as much as the dobie, right? With a face like that, who couldn't?

We love her to pieces (can't ya tell by her waistline?) LOL She is totally spoiled and it is entirely due to the skill she has using those eyes on us! She holds her own space in my heart

Both your dogs are beautiful.
I was just thinking looking at your pic that all dobermans seem to look like royalty :queen: :king:
