How old do Hymalayan live?

Hi,
I can't seem to have a real answer about the life expectancy of hymalayans so I figured asking the hymalayan owners and breeders in this forum would get me an answer! I've heard life expectancy of 12 years, and then that you see often 14 and 15 year-old cats, and then that around 8 they start to be sick... So, I don't know what to make of it! How long have your hymalayans lived? Any hymalayans older than 15 in this community?
Thanks to all!

The life expectancy for a well cared for, neutered/spayed indoor cat is 15 - 17 years, barring life threatening illness or (in the case of purebreds) results of bad breeding which might shorten the lifespan.

Breed doesn't really matter.

Lots of neutered/spayed outdoor cats also have
substantially long lives. My ragdoll is 13 going on 14 this
summer and is in great health.
My best friends orange and black tabby Tigger was an outdoor
cat of 17lbs that lived to be 23 years old.
My aunts outdoor cats (brother and sister) both lived
to the ripe old age of 20.
Most cats will live from 15-20 years in my experience,
barring any health problems, regardless of breed.

My sweet male Himalayan kitty lived to be 19 yrs and 3 (almost) months. Everyone said it was a long life but it wasn't long enough for me.

Thank you all for the information. When I adopted an 8 year-old hymalayan I thought I'd have it for just a few years! I heard so many things about breed being "weaker". It's nice to know I can look forward to a few more years (she's now 14)! I did get quite attached to her!!!

Garfy is 19 years old also

Hello!

Just to let you know that my Garfy (a blue point Hymalayen) is also 19 years old. He is relatively healthy but getting older and slower.
