HELP to choose school for grooming...

HI all~!
I dont know if this is the right place to ask this kind of question...but i'll try..

I want to be a pet groomer and want to have my own pet grooming shop in the future but Im having hard time to find right school for me...and the school is very limited.

I found ICS and JKL ,, which is home study course and found B-Pro grooming school in Brampton (I live in Toront Ontario) which is hands on school for 36 weeks..

Is anyone heard about these schools? any gd and bad behind story? or is there any other school for guy like me?

Plz help ~!

Thank You All!

Sean.

Sheridan college offers an Animal Care one year certicate program. two of the courses is grooming. This might be a good course for you. It offers alot of other courses as well, to work in a vet clinic, etc. Just in case you want to change your career goals in the future. Here is the link:

http://www.sheridaninstitute.ca/Prog...al%20Care.aspx It is offered in Brampton.

You can expect to work with live animals under supervision to demonstrate and practice skills such as:

Handling and restraint techniques
Animal husbandry
Feeding
Grooming
Veterinary simulation exercises

Note: Courses subject to change. I know a few people who have taken this course and our grooming animals. (I actually myself took this course back in 2002 as well..but do not groom animals)

Personally I would not take a home course. Having a hands on program, with professors guiding you, in my opinion would be more beneifical. but this is just my opinion.

There are adult education programs, I went to one to get my high school biology so I could apply to a college program. The one I took was in quadmesters, so it only took about 2 months to get it. A lot of them are also offering online versions as well. Something to think about!
