spayed cat in heat????

Hi Everyone.

Last year I adopted a cat that was supposed to have been spayed, and after almost a year of heat cycles, I took her to my own vet late last week.

Today they did a spay exploritory on her, and found out she hadn't been spayed at all, but she is now.

I hope that she will settle down and quit being a cheeky Kiki, and trying to be the queen.

At least now, we do know why she was going into heat all the time.

take care
binky

I'm in about the same situation.

I took my newest to the Vet last week for her shots and was surprised to learn that the Vet merely looks for scars when checking to see if the cat is spayed. The result was not determined. Hard to tell sometimes in older cats. Perhaps will know once her belly has been shaved for the operation.

My Vet tatoo's their belly after spay.
