Shasta pics/update, New Puppy, others

Hey guys. I keep meaning to post pics and should have sooner but I keep getting distracted by other stuff.

Shasta is still doing well. She's very active for an older dog and in good health. She gets along just fine with everyone, though the cats and the puppy annoy her periodically. Once she puts them in their place they leave her alone . She's very gentle overall and loves attention. She's a great dog and I'm not sure why her previous owners didn't want to keep her, but oh well , she can stay here for the rest of her life so that's ok I guess. She's already bonded with me and my husband the other dogs.

We have our new puppy, Bheka. She's a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog. We've had her for about 2 1/2 weeks now, so she's around 10 1/2 weeks old.

Anyway, here's some pics. All are thumbnails because I don't want the thread to take a massive amount of time to load. Just click on the pictures that you want to see bigger.

Shasta:
She's obsessed with her yellow bone.

Bheka:
(These are from right after we got her. I need to take new ones because she's actually bigger now.)

She certainly looks like she's having fun, give or take a little annoyance! Shasta's such a beautiful girl! Lucky, too!

I didn't know you were getting a new puppy, too! Bheka's a cute little darling!

Yup. We've been planning on Bheka since like June. Shasta was the unexpected one.

The only one that's taking any work is the puppy. Wally is really laid back at this point, Rosco mostly just lays in his bed when he's in the house, and Shasta is old, so her play time is limited to about 5 mins a day . She's the lowest maintenance dog ever.
Actually, I keep joking with my husband that Walnut is really boring at this point. It took her about a week to actually play with the puppy. Not that long ago she would have been wearing any other dog out wanting to play.
Now they're buddies though. She rolls around on the floor and gets the puppy to attack her and they play tug of war.

Thanks for the update. The pictures are great. I don't think Shasta could have gone to a better home. She is so lucky.

Your pup is so cute. Can't wait to see pictures of her as she is growing. Have fun with all your furkids.

MBIE what an awesome update! Shasta is such a lucky dog to have entered your life! what a way to spend retirement!

Love the pics and the new pupper! Gosh you have your hands full with all those critters! Love the shot of DH and Shasta on the couch together!!

She's the lowest maintenance dog ever. Its so nice to hear this because many people are so afraid of taking in a senior doggie! Thank you so much!
