CcccChloe!!

Hi everyone,

I've actually been browsing this site for a few months now in preparation for the new addition to my family. About a month ago, I finally got my "Chloe" from the breeders- an 8 week old black lab. She's now 12 weeks old and nothing short of a handful and a half! From a training perspective, she's crate-trained (spends her day in the crate without whimper), she's "unofficially" housetrained (don't want to jinx myself by saying it too soon), and she's learned the commands of sit, lie down, paw, other paw, "leave it", and walk.

I have to say, much of my success was attributed to the great advice and discussions on this forum. For that, I thank you all!

Welcome to you and Chloe

Hi, I'm fairly new here myself and I have two dogs, one of which is a 4 year old lab x called Halo. And "leave it" was the best thing we ever taught that dog! Labs it appears have a thing about putting things in their mouths Good on you for learning that one so early!

Many people posted to say hello, which was appreciated and made me feel very welcome, but the most apparent thing that someone said was that this site is ADDICTIVE - boy were they right. But great stuff and great people out there. Enjoy!

Welcome aboard, julesuoft

Wow your pup is only 12 weeks old and knows all those commands great job......I wish I had more time with Buddy to teach him more stuff.....actually just getting him to sit and stay will be my next job......but I will settle with sit for now
