Exclamation Important: What can i feed my birds?

Ive been working alot lately, and i didnt even notice that my birds were out of food I feel so bad, and really irresponsible. I havent even had a chance to go out and buy them food yet(it has to be a certain kind.) Now they are completly out, and i wont be able to go get them more food untill tomorrow (today is thanksgiving, and all the stores are closed) Yesterday i gave them crackers, and so far today, ive given them apple, and a little bit of popcorn. Does anyone know of something healthy i can give them to eat untill i can go buy them food??

Have any friends or neighbors with birds? Maybe you can beg or borrow?

A friend of mine has a parrot and he loves Peanuts in a shell, but I guess you cannot get to peanuts either, maybe someone has a bird-feeder and regular birds-seeds,I had two wayward budgies here one summer and they came to my birdfeeder.I tried desperatly to catch them, with the help of HS,but no go

birds will eat most veges such as spinach and a bit of broccoli, they will eat bread (only sml amounts) crackers, fruit, the lot. go through the fridge, get out veges and start trying out different things on them.

Definitely veggies. Corn, spinach, broccoli, cucumber.

Don't feed fruit unless they are a nectar-eating bird, it will make their droppings too water and give them birdy indigestion.

depends on what kind of bird it is...
alot of birds love lettuce..if you have any apples as well (just make sure you get rid of the seeds first)..be careful with crackers as some of them have quite a bit of salt..

What kind of birdies do you have?
