Brief update on Comet...

...since you kind people have shown an interest in him! He continues to recover from his ordeal, but it's slow going.

He's still showing signs of upper respiratory infection, and now must wear an e-collar to keep him from scratching his mutilated ears.

The good news is that now he is starting to seem like he is not truly feral, and sits at the front of the cage...so we're hoping.

Thanks everyone for caring.

Poor guy...is he missing fur from his back?
I hope he's not really feral, it will make it easier to adopt him and easier for him to adjust too.

Okay I have no more room for dogs, but a cat! Now that is another story. I wonder how much it would cost to have him shipped to Missouri???????????????

Thank's Lucky for sharing the news.
All these treatments must be traumatizing for him,but he's no more freezing or starving,I wish he knew about all the attention from everyone and that people do care about him.

Yes, after his recovery is complete, he is going to be a very impressive and large black cat!

Personally, big tom cats with those huge cheeks are my favorites. If I had no other male cats I would keep him myself. However, my ex-feral cat Owen is NOT disposed kindly towards other male cats, to say the least.

Carina - yes the fur is gone off his back. He had an injury there, but it's healing now.

I agree! I love BIG tom cats! (Doesn't hurt that my husbands name is Tom so he is my biggest tom cat!!!!!!!!)

If I lived up near you I would take him in a heart beat, but I fear that a trip all the way down here to me, would be to tramatic for him after everything else!
