More snowy fun

So the snow I had before melted away, but then it came back. And back, and back. It's still trying to snow a bit here and they're calling for lots more this week.

Of course the dogs had a good time running around in it this morning (but then, when don't they have a good time running around Here are a few pictures.

A few more. I have too many and I can never decide which ones to post. I get a little trigger happy with the camera because with the dogs zipping around so fast it's hard to catch them with the camera. So I kind of snap, snap, snap and hope I get more than just a blur or the snow

I read a quote recently, can't for the life of me remember where now, that goes something like, "running for dogs is like dancing for humans..." It's what i think of when I see your pups running together...sheer bliss in their facial and body expressions.

Wonderful photos, Gail. They put a smile on my face .

Noah looks like he's not entirely sure what all that excitement is about, though!

Group shots-1 Each one of these shots has one dog missing. Lightning from the first couple, then Flurry.

Noah actually does enjoy the morning run too, but he does more his own thing and doesn't really get involved in any of the racing/chasing that the rest do very much. He's the oldest of the bunch and not such a high energy breed as the rest. When he runs he's very bouncy, boinging along and he likes to take time to stop and sniff at stuff while the others are racing around blowing off steam. Noah will more slowly bring up the rear and bark at them, or bounce at me, lean on me and sometimes almost trip me getting in the way. I'm not sure if having all the BC's to try to keep up with keeps him more mobile that he might otherwise be, or what the reason is but he seems much younger and in better health than my neighbour's collies that are actually a few months younger than him. Hers seem to have aged and slowed down so much compared to him.

Here's one shot I got with Noah running with the pack. This is after they have their run around the other field and then we head over to the chicken coop to do chores. Most of them take a run up into the bush and go mark their favourite spots before coming into the coop.

Great action shots Gail

The last pic in post 2 of Noah in the foreground watching the others racing around is very postcard-esq
