Meet Milo

So it came to my attention that I talk about my fuzzies as though everyone knows them, and, well...they don't! So I'm posting a load of photos for everyone to get acquainted with our charming almost-1-year old Pug, Milo!

Milo wasn't planned A friend of my BF's bought him on impulse from a pet store. A short time later, it became obvious that raising a puppy was too much of a responsibility and a financial strain (as is the case with most pet store puppies, Milo was in poor health and needed vet treatment)! So I begged my BF to take the puppy when his friend started talking about posting him on Kijiji (a "purebred", unneutered Pug...I couldn't think of any happy outcomes in that situation). Now, about 6 months later, Milo is a beloved member of the family and in perfect health (and neutered, I might add!).

So everyone, meet Milo!

These ones are from the first week we had Milo. He was almost 6 months old already, but still a little pipsqueak. Skinny, for a Pug, and pretty leggy too (I called him the Cindy Crawford of Pugs )

LOL most of our attempts at photographing Milo end up with results like the first 2 photos. He can't stand to be that far away from us (he really is a "velcro Pug"). The last photo is more recent, from the last month or so. He's really starting to fill out!

I know Milo is overexposed in the first pic, but I love it! The last two are again more recent photos. His Buddy Belt gives him this hilarious neck roll that looks like a bib...or that ruffled pirate shirt from Seinfeld!

I was trying to take a photo of Milo and Charlie lying together (because that rarely happens), and by the time I had the camera on, Milo was in my face! The last one some of you may have seen, but I love it!

nanama, I must say although I thought Pugs were adorable, I never thought I would own one (I like big dogs). But we couldn't let me BF's friend give him away, and now I'm so glad we took him in. We want another Pug! They're addictive

Babymomma - whereabouts are you? I see quite a few of them here in Toronto! And even more Pug mixes, unfortunately (LOTS of Puggles and Jugs). We've run into owners of Pug mixes who are so taken by Milo, and admit that they didn't realize their mix looked so different from an actual Pug and that they wanted a Pug but couldn't afford one Bleh, there are great Pug rescues and with it becoming such a popular breed here, there are quite a lot going into rescues and even shelters. They could have found a rescue Pug for half of what they paid for their BYB dog, I'm sure  ANYWAY, lol rant done! Puggles and Jugs are cute too, I just hate that people get them thinking they're the poor man's Pug when their personalities are quite different from a Pug's... that was SO LOL

Milo..Milo...Milo...you are just the cutest lil thing!

He looks fantastic, very healthy and happy.

You've done a fantastic job, thanks for taking him before someone on Kijiji got hold of him...
