Our Latest Houseguest - Benji?
A friend of mine found this little guy just sitting in the middle of the street. She has 2 Basenjis that just want to eat him so she can't keep him while she's looking for the owners. So, I kept him last night, maybe again tonight. He's really sweet, apprx 6 months old, intact, housebroken. Already, he's discovered the doggie door and loves it. Someone must be heartsick and missing this little guy. I've been calling him Benji, even though he doesn't respond to it. Den-Den's a bit territorial, he's ok as long as he doesn't get too much attention, and Puss-Puss is disgusted, even though he didn't get aggressive with her.

Oh, he's sweet! Has anyone checked him for a chip? Looks like he's having a bit of a bad hair day, though.

No one's claimed him yet. He was so sweet and anxious to cuddle. I was hoping they'd need me to keep him nights but someone else is fostering him that can be home day and night. Just as well, Den-Den wasn't too happy. Usually he likes to play. Guess he sensed that Benji was wanting my time more than his. No chip. People usually do that when they have them neutered. Actually, that's when Den-Den and Corky got their chips. They say it's not painful, but the chip is about the size of a grain of rice and I can't believe that a needle that can insert that won't hurt. They're advertising in the paper and have posters up all over. My friend says she'll have no problem finding him a great home (already some friends interested) if his owners can't be located.
