My cat is in heat - help
My cat is in heat and has been vocal for a week now. I have read in a previous message here that she is vocal for 3-4 days.
we are loosing sleep and slowly our patience (due to the lack of sleep) she will get spayed next week. Her appointment was last week but due to her being on heat we couldn't. I went to the vet and he gave me some pills to help her sleep. they only work for two hours and we can only give up to three tables according to her weight. When will this vocal side of her stop? I am only hoping that she will be out of it by the time next week. are there any other tips in calming her down? The whole house can hear her and as she is a thouroughbed she won't go outside. reg Iris |

3-4 or 5 days for a cat to be in heat is NORMAL.
Loud vocalisations are NORMAL. Please don't get too angry at your cat for doing something that it has NO control over....it would be like getting angry at a newborn for crying..... Be patient and get your cat spayed asap Batcat |
