Sarcoptic mange is usually transmitted to humans (scabies), so I wonder if it is actually demodex mange which rarely is passed on to humans?
Here is a link to info about Sarcoptic Mange: http://www.thepetcenter.com/exa/mites.html A link about Demodex Mange: http://www.thepetcenter.com/exa/dem.html Edited: I would get another skin scraping done at another vet aswell as an overall physical exam, before you consider adopting. Is he being treated for the sarcoptic? Last edited by Georgiapeaches; March 1st, 2006 at 02:33 PM. |

my Pom too
Hi;
Have you checked ( with your vet ) into a condition that affects the breed which causes hair loss? Maybe checking out a couple of Pomeranian web sites might help, there is lots of info there on these conditions. |
