On the subject of fish...
These are my angelfish. Unlike Catt, I have no imagination and they remain nameless.
The female is on the right. If you look closely on the left, you will see eggs on the slate, and the male is cleaning them. |

They take turns cleaning the eggs - taking any debris off them, and picking out any infertile eggs that have fungus on them. They also fan them to keep a flow of water going over them. After all this tender loving care, they then eat them.

damnnn, soooo in order for the babies to survive... u (in general) must remove the adults once u feel they have completed cleaning the eggs?

Princess, that is not a dumb question. Many creatures behave differently in the wild than they do in captivity. I'm sure wild angelfish do not eat their eggs. There are so many factors - temp. light, heat, food etc that will affect how they act.
I could very easily hatch the eggs by removing them from the tank and raising them artificially, but I have no interest in having another 100 angelfish. |

That is cool I can see where you would not want 100 more fish. That is alot of babies. Talk about needng a fish sitter that poor mommy!
