now I feel like running to the nearest pound and get them all out ... and send a virtual hug to everyone who adopted those pets.

I specially love the one about the dog being returned twice because of aggression towards dogs and kids ... and now , in his new family , loves dogs and kids. Really goes to show you , how I believe some dogs have issues because of the situation they're in , with bad owners. Just like what we read here this week , one poor dog died because such a situation. Bad owners who don't know how to deal with animals. Don't want to put in the effort or do research BEFORE they get a dog.

You don't know how many dogs our rescue receive , owners mentioning issues , dogs get into foster care and are the perfect angels.

I suspect a lot of these dogs and cats had no issues, but the owners were probably too ashamed to admit they just didn't want them anymore.

I was bothered by the woman who took her boyfriends dog to the HS, after he'd been deployed! The first thing I thought was she was probably waiting for her BF to leave to get rid of that poor pup.

All the more reason, if you are with someone, better off being with someone who loves animals, not someone who will just "put up" with your pet. Because you know they really won't love your baby.

You know,if I ever were in a position to adopt a dog,I would definetly take the one who is old and sickly,I would make sure the last few years of his life would be his best.
Anyone want to adopt Rocky,so I can get a dog? (just kidding of course, love him to bits)...
