Skijoring and Rollerjoring Explained
For those who have inquired, skijoring is a sport where a harnessed dog pulls a human who is on skis. Skijorers can have up to 3 dogs pulling them. Rollerjoring is very similar but is a sport done in the spring and summer. Again, the dog will pull you while this time you are on rollerblades.

My Cocker Spaniel used to pull me on my rollerskates 50 years ago! Didn't know there was a name for it!

Ahh, Glasslass, you bring a smile to my face!!! rollerSKATES, not blades, now THEY were cool!!! Did you have fuzzy boot warmers too??

We had a dog I had taught "left" and "right" to. I was the only one who could control him on his leash while on Rollerblades. He loved it!! I'll never forget some woman yelling at me how cruel it was that he had to run to keep up with me. I turned around and yelled back, "Hey lady! Does it LOOK like we're going backwards? He's in the front!!" I used to have to sit down to get him to stop pulling. He'd be panting away on a hot day, but he'd still want to go. I miss that dog!!

Oh, and a piece of advice to anyone who has a puller? Don't touch thier tail while they're running! They very quickly go from being a puller to a speed bump!

My guys love pulling. I would recommend also using a halt command though..LOL..Will save you from ripping up your butt... We hope to get a group together come spring and summer who want to go out as a group and enjoy this activity together.

This is Calif! No fuzzy boot-warmers! Boots? Biggest problem was wearing shoes with thick enough soles so that the metal skates would stay on. And, not losing the key! Wore it around my neck on a string!
