A little more colour now

Finally getting a little more colour. Sedum, delphinium, hypericum, etc. opening up as well as Creeping Jenny and Creeping Baby's Breath. I love ground covers!
One of my very favourite plants. Blanket Flower (Gaillardia). I think I have about7 or 8 plants in different gardens. I love the vibrant colours!

I love those flowers, too! Do they like dry conditions? I have a very dry, sunny bed that I'm trying to add color to.

Beautiful! I love your garden. It looks like such a restful place. You have a very green thumb.

I have mine under the same, hot dry conditions & they do very well. I think it's spelled Gaillardia (although I could be wrong)

Yes Kim, you are right. Gaillardia. That's what happens when I am in a hurry. My fingers don't type well. I shall fix spelling.
I have sold quite a few of the plants this year in my greenhouse. Grows very easily from seed too. It is short lived but self seeds so you are never without plants.
Hazel - you know how bad last year was. No rain, very hot! The plants all survived it. I hardly watered at all because we are on well and I saved water for the greenhouse. The best thing about this plant is that it flowers ALL summer!

Chico - I have Periwinkle too. I love it actually. It covers lots of sins in a bed I very seldom get to work in. I want to plant some Thyme (steppable) in the cracks of my patios I made a couple of years ago. It will stop the weeds coming up through and usually can withstand a lot before dying. Right now I have Scottish Moss growing in a lot of the cracks. I didn't put it there. It managed to cross a driveway and self seed. But it looks ok.
I don't know if I am more knowledgable. I just need to know about a lot of plants for customers. I try to stay on top of things so I can answer questions without sounding foolish. Thank you for the compliments!!
