fish smell

i have a 2 year old border collie. She is called Lucy. She always has a fish smell when she gets afraid. Its a nervous anal glan that every time they get a fright they seem to let of a smell. Humand do it to exept pardon the expresion " **** my self" is a phrase used to describe fear of somting. However dogs do that to exept they have a anal "fishy" glan. Its nothing serious and infact it shows they still have a sence in that glan. This information is from a number of different vets including the breeder. Its most common in female dogs "bitches" and in very nervous dogs.
