Now that's a fluffy face! hehe

How big do Newfs get? Bigger than Saint Bernards?

Newfs will end up taller than a St. Bernard, but I don't think quite as heavy. Parker should weigh in at about 150 full grown and Hazel should be between 120-150 full grown. I think standard height for a male is 28-32 inches at the shoulders and 26-30 for a female. Parker is already 22 inches at his shoulders and is 19 weeks old.

Priceless both are so cute and looks like they really have a ball together. Beautiful dogs!
When I think of a newf I think of Josh, he won best in show last year for Westminster show and believe me he deserved to win he was really something.

I saw Josh

I always watch the Westminster - and Josh was gorgeous!! My husband would tell Lacey that Josh was gonna be her boyfriend! Like I could really afford that stud fee!! J/K - we aren't breeding any dogs.

What cuties!!! I love your newfs!

You should take a pic of them playing in the yard with as much yard in the pic as possible and then retake the pic from the same position in two years and see how much room they take up then..

How cute! They are little fur balls! Do you have to brush them alot? I love outdoor pictures and pictures when they are playing together.

Brush every day

My hubby brushes them everyday at work. Right now Hazel gets brushed quite often because we have cottonwood trees that drop these sticky seeds in the spring. They cover the grass and Hazel gets them stuck all over - if you don't brush them out quickly, they will get wrapped in the fur and you almost have to cut the fur to get them out. I hate those trees in the spring!

Oh I just love Newfs, I think they are my second favorite dog. They used to be my first till I met my boy Rocky! But as a child my best friend had a lovely Newf named Mitsy, She was with us every where we went. I just loved that dog and was sooo resentful that she wasnt mine

My parents had a newfie growing. My dad would actually make my mom sit in the back seat of the car. So Teela could have the front seat. I would actually tie one of my moms scarfs to her head and people would look over to see the woman sitting next to my dad was their newfie.

Also my older sister was rushing out with her kids and for whatever reason didn't look behind her and ran right over Teela. They rushed the dog to the vet and she didn't have a scratch on her well probably some bruises but nothing serious.

researchbulls: That is funny because last summer when we still had Lacey, I had to sit in the backseat of the truck so she could have the front seat! If I tried to sit in the front, she would squish me into the door frame and groan the whole time like I was squishing her!! We never made her sit in the back because the A/C didn't reach back there. Oh, what sacrifices we make for our babies!

Oh Kandy what beautiful babies!! When we finally get a dog, I really want to get a Newfie X, I just love the breed!! Newfies are rare in these parts.
