LOL he might not be, some fish just look a little fat like that but if you dont notice him pooping, try some blanched deshelled peas or some epsom salt, maybe a teaspoon?? not sure really... its usually a tablespoon per 5g (or 19l). id just wait to see if he poops though. i wouldnt feed more than every other day to help prevent that though.

i prefer glass but its all about preference. there is no health concern between acrylic and glass. lots of more sensitive systems are made with acrylic.

the false door is to pull junk out of the bottom?? *shrugs* i wouldnt imagine there is a whole lot of water to pull it out with!!

BTW there is a nice little 5g aquarium on craigslist in your area-

(im not too subtle am i?? )

(on a side note... my AC is finally on!!! freeking record highs though... this thing, come to find out, could have been fixed laast friday )

uh.... yeah i guess its a possibility. eh, take 1tbs of epsom salt and add it to some water, mix really well. add 1/8th to his tank today, add another 1/8th tomorrow morning unless he reacts badly to it. the reason he may react badly is because it such a small tank. i guess you could try adding 1/4th over 2 days really slowly?? make sure you mix the water really well when you put it in there. too much will burn him.

is he still eating?? you could see if he eats a little deshelled pea??

also, can you get your ammonia/nitrites/nitrates tested?? almost ALL illness in fishkeeping is water quality related.
