Technical Service Bullitens?
Anyone know where to get them? I was informed there was a recall on the rad on my 2000 protege, and it should have been fixed under warrenty but wasn't. So the $$ I just paid to have it replaced should be reimbursed to me. I need the bulliten as proof though before I go in there.

yeah, but you have to pay for them. I figured they are something that is free...I don't want to pay for them!

Here is a website that has some info. If you go to a bookstore, Lemon-Aid has EVERY TSB and secret warranty that was issued. This site tells you the top ten, and how to go about getting them honoured. The thing about the TSB's or "secret warranties" is, because they tend to be treated as "don't ask, don't tell" by a lot of dealerships, you really need to know how to go about them going in.http://www.lemonaidcars.com/secret_warranties.htm
This is another site that has a list of secret warranties. It's California, but it at least might let you know if there is one. http://www.lemonlawspecialists.com/tsb/

My car had a recall - read about it in newspaper. Called dealership and was told that my car, while in the make/model/year class, was not one that had the faulty part. Then I received a letter from the manufacturer with a reference letter telling me that yes, my car did have the faulty part and to take the letter, with the reference #, to the dealership for the repair - but that I had to do it within a certain time frame. Work was done - unfortunately I have recently had 2 "very rare" problems occur that were not covered by warranty - and on a car with only 20,000 km totally unacceptable. I seem to recall that you bought this car used. Is it possible that notice went to original owner? Hopefully the part was faulty on your car and the work was not done just to get the money.
