A re-introduction
Hi everyone!
I lurked and occasionally posted here when we got our first dog three years ago. That's Maggie in my av. Everyone here was such a big help to a new dog owner! She sadly had to be PTS this spring. She was much older than the SPCA was led to believe when we adopted her, and had bad arthritis in both hips. When she blew out an ACL, the only decent thing to do was to end the poor thing's suffering.  So, move on a few months, and a posting on the SPCA website called to me... We have another project dog. She's an 18 month old, probably mostly yellow lab named Holly. She's had a chaotic start - stray, picked up by the pound, adopted out to a family who couldn't handle her, surrendered to the SPCA, spent a couple of months there... and then we took her in. She's a big ball o' untrained energy. We're working hard on making her a nice, polite family pup. She loves people and is very respectful of their space. Other dogs and small furry critters are a different story! Here she is when we first got her - newly spayed with a shaved belly, and a bit underweight:

welcome back Nansel, sorry to hear about Maggie, but glad to hear about you adopting Holly. she looks like a sweetheart! We would love to see some "after" photos of her too!
