Blaze's New Girlfriend

Meet Tasha this is Blaze's new girlfriend, she came for a playdate with Blaze and Jordie they loved her.

Tasha is a Golden Retriever turned 5yrs Feb 14/05. she belongs to my niece she is a real doll in this pic you can tell she has been groomed due to shedding.

I love the long hair, I'm very lucky with Blaze he sheds very little but is brushed daily. :king: :queen:

Cute doggy, but I'm sorry, she's just not as cute as Blaze. Do you believe that dogs of the same breed get along differently than different breeds? At our dog park, whenever two dogs are of the same breed they always end up together...

Thanks, Tasha is very nice but I prefer the field type of Golden myself. The tall smooth golden is my favorite, as I kid I wanted a Golden and dreamed of him looking just like Blaze.

I didn't not know that dogs of the same bred get along better, interesting to know. I do a little babysitting for a few friends and others, most of the dogs I've had are Goldens. Jake is a beagle, he and Blaze are great buds Jordie is only into humping him..I hate it.

I'm not 100% sure that they get along better, but I have noticed that they at least recognized dogs of the same breed. I'd have to do a study...

Sorry I thought you were saying they do get along better I get it now, yes be interested in that study myself.

I added this pic of Blaze ( one of my fav) but to show the difference in the two goldens, easy to see, look at their heads.

Could the other one be mixed? I just find she doesn't look like a golden retriever-- except for the fur...

No this dog has champion parents, my niece bought her out West and paid big $ for her. She has been very healthy, glad my niece made a great choice when picking a breeder

I agree, goldenblaze. I prefer the field types myself. Our neighbors have a "show" type Lab. He's very short & stocky and has a huge head. He's very sweet and I love him to bits, but if I were getting a Lab, I'd definitely go for the "field" type (I wouldn't adopt from my neighbor's breeder regardless of type, but that's a whole other story ). Blaze is a very handsome boy. I'm sure your niece's girl is very sweet, but I like Blaze's "look" much better.

Writing4Fun I know what you mean about the Labs, I have seen many like your neighbors. All are very nice and sweet but I'm glad Blaze is field and thanks I think Blaze is pretty handsome myself

And yes Tasha is a sweetheart, very gentle even though much tougher than Blaze
