The best thing for a "New Puppy" and maybe "New Dog Owner" is obedience school. It's a great way to meet new people and your dog gets to learn social skills. I personally went to "Agility" instead cause I had an active terrier. Any group classes you and your pooch will benefit from.

Maybe try walking her before feeding her. When she walks a few steps give her a food reward and praise her. a few more steps, another reward then praise.
After a while phase out the food reward. Just a thought.

How old your puppy is is an important question though.

From the other thread - the puppy is 9 weeks old. At this age it's quite, quite normal for her to not walk "nice" on leash - she's just a baby.

Be very patient and start slow, with treats every other step; given time and patience he'll get it
Also, she should not even be on the floor in the vet's office for now - most likely she does not have all her shots yet, so please carry her.

Mirela, I'm shocked!!
I don't think threatening a puppy will work very well
Possible Freudian slip?
