Sending my sweet boy to the Bridge tomorrow

Mac, my Scottie, has not been feeling well--off appetite and vomiting. Yesterday evening, we found out he has a "substantial mass" in his liver. He is at the hospital with my vet, but I can bring him home this afternoon so he can spend his last night at home, in his bed, with his family. My heart is breaking, but I know I am doing the right thing for Mac. He has been the best and most loyal friend I could ask for over the last 14 years. He deserves to go in peace. His new journey begins tomorrow morning around 9.

I've asked health questions about him here in the past few years. I feel that many of you are friends. Please say a prayer for Mac that he will have a peaceful and gentle passing. I've asked Tipper to meet him and help him get adjusted. I know he won't be alone. A piece of me is dying too. I guess it has to so he can take a piece of my heart with him. Godspeed Puppy Mac.
