Food process dry kibble?

Wondering if I could do this.. food-process my dog's kibble and use in place of a portion of flour in recipes for treats?? Anyone ever tried this? Or would I be better to just use flour?

Thanks!
Melissa

Try it and see what happens. I don't know what the moisture content of flour is but you may need to add less fluids with the kibble.

If you're baking the treats I can't imagine them turning out too well. It would be like making chocolate chip cookies and instead of using flour for your cookies, using ground up store-bought cookies. Your're replacing one simple ingredient with a whole bunch.

Kibble is also greasy... I think it would work, but you have to get the right balance of fat, moisture, etc for whatever you are baking to stick together and come out just right... Trial and error...

Also, you'd be baking something that's already baked.

People do that all the time... Isn't that what this "war on drugs" stuff is all about?
