Lost Cat

We have recently moved to the vaudreuil-dorion area and have lost our indoor cat 'cruise'. He is about 5 yrs old and a tabby with white paws. He is very affectionate and declawed in his front paws (He was found like that as a kitten). He escaped suddenly out our patio door and I think he got scared and now he is lost. He has been missing now for 2 days. I just want to let the word out. I have posted notices with pictures and let S.O.S Miaow know as well as the local vets. We miss him alot and any info or help is greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this email.

We can be reached at 450-510-4030.

We'll certainly keep a look out for him too!!

I will post him on my site as well. In the meantime, I advise you to go out late at night, when everything is quiet. Take a box of his food or treats and go all over the neighbourhood, behind houses and garages calling him.

Sometimes cats are very close to home but scared to come out during the day.

Good luck!!!

Even setting a humane trap with tuna or her favourite food would be wise since cats usually do not stray far initially and they become scared and even run from their "owners" very quickly after being in the wild. Treat it as if you were trapping a feral and go from there - knowing that you have some extra resources since you KNOW this kitty.

Suggestions for a humane trap?

thanx cyberkitten and chico 2.....About the humane traps, any suggestions? I don't want to trap any other critters around, I don't know if these guys like cat food or tuna but there are alot of groundhogs behind our place.

Did you go out very late to look for him?

Do not leave traps out overnight, or you are likely to catch a raccoon or skunk. Leave it out in the daytime only.

Groundhogs won't be attracted to tuna or salmon.
