garden going in I am not a green thumb

Ok 2 Questions here.

1) Tiger lillies ? have a TON all along fence in front & around HUGE Sugar maple tree over hanging on Driveway. want to move from the tree over to the fence & to the back of the propertyto the OTHER garden.

2) Question 75foot garden going in retaining wall built but soil needs to be added still. because that garden backs on to a front yard of a neighbours house and a new fence chainlink is going in between I want flowers if possible on that side then veggies further down. Flowers so that it looks nicer for them. and maybe a lil privacy? I would LOVE sunflowers as they grow high & we have Blue jays/Cardinals who I think would love them. Hoping to get the soil in this weekend coming or sooner. But am I too late for planting?

Thanks guys ill get Pics if it helps

Diamondsmom,no problem moving the Lilies, but I would probably wait until fall,if you want flowers this year.

As for Sunflowers,I have some, that the Squirrels planted, but although I like them, they are awfully messy and flower for such a short time, get a bird-feeder instead

If they are the run of the mill Tiger Lilies that grow everywhere then move them whenever you want. They might wilt for a day or two but I bet they come back. You can't kill those things anyway. Make sure you dig down far enough you get all of the corm or you will be getting mroe growing in the exact same place you are trying to move them from. They are a biatch to get rid of. Just warn you - use a strong shovel. It ain't easy.
