Strange noise coming from dog

I adopted a dog from Mexico this summer. Had all his shots & tested for parasites. Tonight he is making a very strange cough. Almost sounds like whooping cough. He has also been sneezing a lot. I suspect it may just be a bad cold. Any opinions?

it could be kennel cough? Probably best to take him to the vet and have him checked out.

Kennel Cough

It definitely sounds like Kennel Cough. You need to get him to a vet for sure. The vet will prescrive anti-biotics. I went through this once. With help, your dog will get through it just fine.
