My garden

First of all, I really cant take recognition for the garden because we only moved in here this winter. My MIL owns the house, used to live here and now we rent from her, so she has worked on this garden for quite a few years. I love gardening, but am definetely an amateur and a little scared at the thought of maintaining such a large garden but I enjoy it and find working on it very relaxing I never remember any of the names though

I cant wait till all the big purple ones () open up!!!
A full view, to the right of the big tree you can see the path the dogs have made up the hill ...at least it keeps the crushing to a minimum. At the top there is a fence and looks out onto a busy road so they like to go up there and bark at people

I love gardening too, not sure about your first pic, second pic is a bleeding heart, 3rd is cornflow also called bachelors button. Next 2 pics are iris's. I know what the next is but darned if the name will come to me. And the big bush with the pretty purplish flowers is of course lilacs. OMG your yard must smell sooooo good.

I *think* the shrub with the pink flowers is weigela, Aslan. I planted one last year but it never came back, lol. My garden is pretty hit and miss!

Wow love those dark Iris. All my Iris are pastels.

Eat the dandelions! Very nutritious. Young leaves are best in a salad, but the entire plant is edible. We even tried dandelion root "coffee" this evening. Kinda roasted nutty flavor but we did not like the after taste.

Your Solomon's Seal will produce dangling "berries" later on. It's called Solomon's Seal due to the markings on the tubers.
