Cats and Raw Diet
Hi there
I was curious if anyone knew whether or not cats can be put on a raw food diet (minus bones) and if its healthy for them? Any insights would be great! |

Hi! Yes, a lot of people have their cats on raw diet (with bones!). Check out this raw feeding group that is mostly for cat people http://groups.yahoo.com/group/RawPaws/

cats, being obligate carnivores, do wonderful on a balanced raw diet! but you do need the bones though, whole or ground: just picture what cats like to catch and eat... mice, small rodents, birds... an "all -meat" diet is unbalanced and will lead to health problems. here is some reading info if you like:
